About 70% of young Nigerians I have come across in recent times have had a few questions in common concerning the forthcoming elections. "Dare We hope for a better Nigeria?
Dare We hope for free and fair elections?
Dare We hope for the prevalence of justice?
Dare We hope for proper execution of the rule of law?
Yes We dare! Because hope is all we have (more or less).
People say the only constant thing in life is change, indeed it is. If we truly yearn for a change in Nigeria or better yet, a better Nigeria, We must be advocators of change.
The communities in which we live are made up of families. Each family is made up of individuals. And so in order to make a meaningful change in the community, it is the responsibility of each individual.
Yes, it begins with you. If we all put our minds to it, a lot is achievable.
Now is one of such times we can make our voices heard. Our unified voices advocating a better Nigeria.
Be part of the change you so desire. Get up, go out and, "R.S.V.P".
It's called the "R.S.V.P" and no it doesn't mean "Rice & Soup Very Plenty"....
R - Register for the 2011 general elections.
S - Select a suitable candidate (I recommend that we set aside sentiments and pick a credible and visionary leader).
V - Vote at the appointed time.
P - Protect your votes....
If you really want to have a say in the issues that concern your future, this is a "small but mighty" way to start.
Remember, change begins with you!
